Expert to Support Nigeria in Assistive Technology

Fife Famurewa, founder of the Sports for Special Needs Club at Kinkaid and a member of Easter Seals Houston Chapter, is working to connect Nigeria’s medical community with global advancements in assistive technology.

With a passion for engineering devices in medicine, Famurewa partnered with the Texas Technology Access Program to donate 3D-printed tactile symbols and communication boards to a school for children with autism in Nigeria.

Her initiative stems from personal research and visits to assistive technology centers, inspiring her to bring awareness to life-changing innovations for medical professionals in Nigeria. She has collaborated with schools in Lagos, including institutions in Ketu and Opebi, to further her research and impact.
