Academy kicks off in Lagos to promote in entrepreneurship

Lalaa Consulting Limited has officially launched the Academy of Creativity, Innovation, and Disruption (ACID)—a bold new initiative aimed at offering transformative learning experiences for entrepreneurs and professionals seeking innovative approaches to business growth.

According to Demola Aderibigbe, CEO and Lead Innovation Consultant at Lalaa Consulting, ACID was born out of his personal frustration with the traditional models of executive education, which he described as uninspiring and outdated.

“After over a decade of dynamic experience in learning, development, and business consulting, I found traditional business education increasingly ineffective. My employers weren’t ready to embrace change—so I created one. ACID is about making executive learning more engaging, enjoyable, and impactful,” he said during the inaugural cohort of the Academy.

A New Approach: Humour-Based Gamified Consulting Practice (HGCP)

Lalaa Consulting is pioneering a humour-based gamified consulting practice (HGCP) in Nigeria—an innovative model that blends academic research, real-world case studies, gamification, and instructional humour into an immersive, practical learning experience.

This unique method has enabled the firm to compete with, and sometimes outperform, larger consulting firms by attracting high-profile clients across industries.

Diverse Participation, Real Impact

The ACID program drew participation from SME founders across real estate, healthcare, technology, media, entertainment, consulting, and hospitality sectors. Sessions were described as highly interactive, using hands-on activities and creative learning techniques to inspire new ways of thinking.

“The sessions challenged participants to think differently, apply creative strategies, and reimagine solutions within their industries,” Aderibigbe noted.

Eliseus Olaoluwa, an associate at Lalaa Consulting, explained that ACID was designed to nurture creativity and innovation for long-term SME sustainability.

“The essence of enterprise lies in value creation, delivery, and capture. Every great invention stems from human creativity. ACID helps SMEs tap into that power,” he said.

Participant Testimonials

One of the participants, Dr. Perpetua Mbanefo, a medical practitioner, shared her experience:

“I joined to learn how to reposition my business, and I’ve gained fresh insights on creativity, strategy, and increasing revenue. This experience has helped me see my business from a new perspective.”
