Dr. Amankwaa Agyeman, CEO of Royal Image Group, has been voted Ghana’s Most Outstanding Personality in Journalism for the second consecutive year by the renowned 40 Under 40 Awards.
The eighth edition of the awards, held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra, honoured the nation’s outstanding young business leaders.
Dr. Agyeman has received recognition in the Journalism category, noting his significant influence in establishing Ghana’s media business.
He first received the award in 2023 and was recognised again this year for his leadership and the Royal Image Group’s tremendous expansion across numerous industries.

Dr. Agyeman spoke to the media after winning the award, expressing delight in his accomplishments and thanking his team for their efforts. “I have worked tirelessly over the years, and this honour is a testimonial to my efforts. It also boosts the overall confidence of the Royal Image Group staff. “We will continue to work harder for more victories,” he stated.
Media leadership and business expansion
Royal Image Group, led by Dr. Agyeman, has made a substantial contribution to Ghana’s media scene. Royal TV, a group company, has established itself as a prominent participant in the sector, owing to its integrity and market reputation. Dr. Agyeman’s endeavours go beyond media, as he works to broaden the group’s portfolio.
Dr. Agyeman’s contributions to the sector include establishing the Ask Media Training Institute and launching northern Ghana’s first satellite TV station. His drive to excellence has set industry standards.
Celebrating young business leaders
The 40 Under 40 Awards, organised by Xodus Communications and backed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, are an annual effort that recognises Ghana’s most significant young entrepreneurs.
Notable personalities attended the 2024 ceremony, including Nana Kwame Bediako, the New Force party’s Presidential Candidate, as well as diplomats, government officials, and representatives from traditional organisations.
Dr. Amankwaa Agyeman is from the Ashanti Region, and his media career began with a small investment. Over the years, he has built Royal Image Group into a diverse and influential media empire. His leadership continues to influence Ghana’s media and commercial environments, gaining him widespread recognition and respect.
