Dangote Cement Posts Record $743m Profit in 2025, Expands African Capacity to 55Mt

Africa’s largest cement producer, Dangote Cement, has reported a record profit of $743 million for 2025, more than doubling its earnings from the previous year in a landmark financial performance.

The strong results were driven by improved operational efficiency, disciplined cost management, and a significant boost in export volumes across key African markets.

Operational Strength and Export Momentum

The company’s focus on cost control, energy optimisation, and cross-border trade has strengthened its competitive edge, reinforcing its ambition to remain the continent’s most efficient cement manufacturer.

In line with its expansion strategy, Dangote Cement commissioned a 3 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) grinding plant in Ivory Coast, increasing its total installed capacity across Africa to 55 million tonnes annually.

Strategic Expansion Across Africa

Beyond West Africa, the company has outlined further expansion plans in South Africa, Ethiopia, and other strategic markets, aimed at deepening market share and enhancing regional production capacity.

With these developments, Dangote Cement continues to position itself as Africa’s leading low-cost cement producer, leveraging economies of scale and vertical integration to strengthen its dominance in the construction materials sector.

Industry analysts note that the company’s performance reflects broader infrastructure demand across the continent, as governments and private developers invest heavily in housing, transport, and industrial projects.
