BTA2023 Isaac Dwimoh-Opoku, Managing Director of Orient Property Consulting, encourages graduating professionals entering the built environment to be prepared with the tools they need to flourish in their jobs, both in corporate institutions and in service to their countries.
This, he says, is required to improve the built environment and sustainably expand the real estate industry.
Speaking at his company’s Real Estate Career Launch Pad 2024, he stated that the strategic collaboration between the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Orient Property Consulting to organise the Career Launch Pad is primarily intended to introduce new graduates and young professionals to industry best practices.
Furthermore, he stated that the event aims to provide insight into the various job prospects accessible in real estate. Most significantly, it strives to provide young professionals with the problem-solving abilities required to propel their organisations and countries forward.
“At Orient Property Consulting, we prioritise quality in service delivery, rigorous commitment to ethical norms, and ongoing professional growth. For over 150 years, RICS has championed these same values, influencing the practices of built environment professionals around the world,” he emphasised.
This year saw the start of an annual event called the Orient Property Consulting Real Estate Career Launch Pad, which is aimed to train young people in Africa for meaningful careers in the built environment.
Orient Property Consulting Limited, in cooperation with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, sponsored a virtual event for young graduates interested in exploring career options in real estate.
The event provided invaluable insights for participants, who included graduates from approximately 17 Ghanaian universities and technical schools studying Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Estate Management, Real Estate, Land Management, Land Economy Facility Management, and others.
