Finance Minister Introduces New Commissioner-General of GRA

The Finance Minister, Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, recently paid a significant visit to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) to officially introduce the newly appointed Commissioner-General, Mr. Anthony Kwasi Sarpong. This introduction was made to the Commissioners and Top Management of the GRA, signifying the start of a new chapter in the authority’s leadership.

Dr. Ato Forson was accompanied by prominent figures, including Mr. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and Ms. Eva Esselba Mends, Chief Director of the Ministry of Finance. The delegation’s visit underscored the importance of seamless collaboration between the Ministry of Finance and the GRA to achieve the government’s revenue mobilization goals.

The new Commissioner-General, Mr. Sarpong, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role. He is expected to drive innovative strategies and ensure efficient revenue collection to support Ghana’s economic growth. This marks a pivotal moment for the GRA as it aligns with national efforts to strengthen revenue systems and improve fiscal discipline.
