“As we celebrate MTN Mobile Money’s 15th Anniversary, this initiative is a key part of our commitment to driving financial inclusion and fostering a cashless society,” she stated.

Through a range of services, such as mobile loans, insurance products in collaboration with MiLife Insurance, investment opportunities through Treasury Bills, daily or monthly savings plans, and cross-border remittances, Madam Otuo-Acheampong emphasized that MTN Mobile Money is committed to extending financial access.

“By promoting digital transactions, MTN Mobile Money aims to enhance financial access and convenience for Ghanaians,” she added.

The Cashless Market initiative aims to encourage collaboration across ecosystem actors in order to highlight the benefits of a cashless economy while also increasing access to financial services such as loans, insurance, and investments. It also wants to educate clients about security precautions and fraud protection, promoting the My Momo App for easy transactions, statement viewing, and subscription services.
Madam Otuo-Acheampong also announced an impending ‘Refer-a-Friend’ initiative, in which consumers will receive free data for successful referrals. She emphasized the necessity of being vigilant against fraud and urged clients to exercise caution while providing personal information.

“Education is key. We are collaborating with security agencies to combat fraudsters,” she emphasised.

The MTN Momo Cashless Market is part of the company’s 15th anniversary celebrations, which include a variety of promotions, giveaways, and random cash awards for clients.
