Telecel Ghana has opened a new retail outlet at the Takoradi Mall, strengthening its presence in the Western Region and improving service accessibility for customers in the Sekondi–Takoradi metropolis.

The new outlet becomes the company’s 493rd retail touchpoint nationwide.

  5. Enterprise business solutions

Customers visiting the shop will also receive personalised technical assistance from trained service personnel.

Partnership Model Boosting Local Businesses

As part of its long-term expansion strategy, Telecel is partnering with local entrepreneurs to widen retail accessibility.
General Manager for Commercial Operations, Mercy Dawn Akude, highlighted that the model supports business owners while extending Telecel’s reach.

“Our retail model strengthens existing businesses by enabling owners to offer a broader range of services and attract more customers. Working with local business owners who understand their communities best is the right way forward,” she said.

The Takoradi Mall shop is operated in partnership with Buadac Company Limited, which noted that Telecel’s presence enhances customer offerings and the mall’s position as a key commercial hub.

Enhancing Customer Experience and Accessibility

National Retail Manager Anita Yayra Akoto said the opening reinforces Telecel Ghana’s commitment to accessibility and responsive service.

“We encourage everyone in and around Takoradi to visit our new retail shop. Our team is ready to assist with customer needs and deliver the positive, connective energy that defines our brand,” she added.

Part of a Broader Expansion Strategy

The Takoradi Mall outlet forms part of Telecel Ghana’s nationwide retail expansion plan, which includes upgrading existing shops through strategic partnerships to improve customer satisfaction. Throughout the opening week, early visitors received branded souvenirs as they explored Telecel’s full suite of products and services.
