YouTube and Facebook Lead Social Media Usage in Ghana, TikTok Follows Closely

A new report from DataReportal, a platform that tracks social media trends, has revealed that YouTube and Facebook are the most widely used platforms in Ghana, each with an estimated 7.8 million users.

The report also highlights the rapid growth of TikTok, which now boasts 7.4 million users in the country, reflecting its increasing popularity among Ghanaians.

Although DataReportal did not provide an exact user count for WhatsApp, the messaging platform remains the most dominant in Ghana, with 93% of internet users reporting that they use it regularly.

These figures highlight the evolving social media landscape in Ghana, with video-based platforms gaining significant traction alongside traditional social networks.
