Collins Sefa At the Africa We Want Summit 2025, the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry (MOTAI) reinforced its call for Africa’s entrepreneurial community to leverage the continent’s growing economic potential.
Represented by Mr. Kwame Oppong Ntim, Director of Agribusiness, on behalf of the Deputy Minister, Hon. Sampson Ahi, MOTAI highlighted Africa’s youthful population, expanding digital ecosystem, and the transformative role of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in shaping a borderless economic landscape.
Entrepreneurs were urged to adopt a continental mindset, scaling businesses beyond local markets to fully participate in a unified African economy. The session also emphasized key policy and institutional initiatives, including:
- Ghana’s upcoming Agribusiness Policy
- Enhanced product and packaging standards
- Export-readiness support for MSMEs via the Ghana Enterprise Agency
- Regulatory reforms aimed at improving the business environment
The Ministry’s message was clear: building “The Africa We Want” requires capacity building, professionalism, and discipline, alongside a steadfast commitment to enterprise growth across borders.
As Africa continues its digital transformation and integration, MOTAI stressed that entrepreneurs equipped with cross-border strategies and awareness of policy incentives will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth across the continent.
