Extent of the Loot Will Shock Ghanaians’ – Ablakwa on ORAL Findings of Misappropriated State Assets

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Chairman of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) team, has announced that the group has uncovered significant evidence of misappropriated state assets. These assets are linked to appointees of the previous administration.

ORAL Team Prepares Evidence for President Mahama

The team is finalizing its findings, which they plan to submit to President John Dramani Mahama soon. This evidence will inform the President’s actions to address the issue and hold those responsible accountable. A few weeks ago, President Mahama created the ORAL investigative team. Members include Ablakwa, Nathan Kofi Boakye, Martin Kpebu, Raymond Archer, and Daniel Domelevo. Their mission is to investigate and document instances of state capture and asset mismanagement.

Ablakwa Highlights Commitment to Accountability for the ORAL team

During a press briefing in the Eastern Region, Ablakwa expressed confidence in the team’s progress. He stated that the report would expose the full extent of corruption under the previous government. “Our findings are substantial,” Ablakwa said. “We have coordinated the evidence to ensure action by the attorney general and other institutions.” He assured the public that the report would be a crucial step toward reclaiming looted resources and ensuring justice.

Strengthening Governance and Public Trust

The Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative is part of President Mahama’s broader strategy to improve governance and accountability. The findings, which will be shared in the coming weeks, are expected to reveal the depth of malfeasance. This will pave the way for decisive legal and institutional actions. This is a good initiative by the government to ensure that state funds are not misappropriated and also the impact of the findings and the consequence will prevent persons and individuals who are already in the action to loot or to loot in the future.
