BTA2023 Interswitch Group has successfully hosted the inaugural edition of its Startup Innovation Mixer at the Interswitch Innovation Hub, located at the company’s headquarters in Lagos.
Themed “Unlocking Synergies between Startups and Established Corporates,” the event brought together key stakeholders from the broader tech, fintech, and payments industries, including Interswitch alumni, to facilitate collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
Bridging the Gap Between Startups and Corporates
The Startup Innovation Mixer was designed by Interswitch to bridge the divide between emerging startups and well-established businesses. The initiative provides a sustainable platform where stakeholders across the tech ecosystem can connect, exchange ideas, and explore new partnership opportunities. The event featured a dynamic mix of innovators, investors, and industry leaders, fostering an environment of transformative discussions and networking.
Chief Innovation Officer at Interswitch, Adaobi Okerekeocha, emphasized the critical role of partnerships in driving innovation within Africa’s tech sector. She highlighted the importance of collaboration in unlocking Africa’s untapped potential, stating:

The event featured panel discussions, including one moderated by Akeem Hassan, Technical Adviser to the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Lagos State Government.
