Telecel Ghana has launched its eighth annual Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Month, with this year’s edition dedicated to boosting youth-led businesses and entrepreneurship.
Running under the theme “Connecting the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs,” the initiative reflects Telecel’s commitment to nurturing innovation and supporting young business leaders across Ghana.
Tawa Bolarin, Director of Enterprise Business and Wholesale at Telecel Ghana, emphasized that young entrepreneurs are central to Ghana’s economic growth.
To address their challenges, Telecel has introduced three tailored solutions:
-
The Boss Plan – providing mobile data, social media bundles, and SMS marketing tools to help young entrepreneurs market their products.
-
One Business Mobile – offering affordable communication tools for small teams and startups.
-
Your Business Online Reloaded – helping businesses establish an online presence with website development and custom domains.
Since its inception in 2017, SME Month has grown into a platform that connects small businesses with resources, visibility, and opportunities for growth. This year, the focus goes beyond products to capacity building—with AI workshops, the Telecel Business Runway conference, podcasts, and networking events aimed at sharpening entrepreneurial skills.
Entrepreneurs like Zuu Gbedemah, co-founder of Stay by Plan Media, have praised the program, particularly its affordable internet solutions, which remain essential for digital businesses.
By combining digital tools with training and mentorship, Telecel is not only providing connectivity but also empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs to thrive in a competitive, technology-driven economy.
